Facebook announced on Tuesday that they are redesigning their newsfeeds, focusing on what people actually want to see on the platform: events and groups. This is exciting news for all the members of “secret” groups on Facebook that have recently become increasingly popular.

Instagram recently announced that they are considering a massive change to how you engage with your network: hiding the like count on photos so people can’t see how many people have liked your posts. The unreleased feature aims to encourage audiences to focus on ‘what is being shared’ instead of how many people are liking it.

Let’s face it, Netflix programming has influenced our culture. Whether people are now ‘tidying up’, talking about a needed make over from the ‘Fab 5’, or causing chaos with ‘Bird Box’, the streaming network is now engrained in our daily lives. In the world of Facebook, it’s the year of Facebook Watch. Facebook has confirmed they are funding and licensing new shows for Watch with publishers like Buzzfeed, Conde Nast, and Complex. This program doesn’t have an official name but it is currently being referred to as “Facebook Match.”
