In an ever-changing social media world, applications like Instagram are searching for more ways to have users engage with their respective audience.
This week, the app launched two new interactive stickers to their stories: Quiz and Donation.
Although this is not a new thing for social media, it’s great to see Instagram getting on board with this fun interaction between followers and poster – especially with the popularity of stories. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of this is the fact users can interact with their followers with little investment. All you have to do is come up with questions and a few multiple choice answers each. This is a great tool to have your audience coming back and interacting with your page in some capacity. It’s very obvious Instagram stories are taking over the feed, so any improvement to the experience is welcomed.
In an announcement and rollout on Tuesday, Instagram launched donation stickers in stories. These stickers add in a charitable donation option to the user experience. They are linked to donation sites of the user’s charity of choice and are a great addition to the platform. 100% of the money donated goes to the non-profit.
With the addition of these features this week, we know Instagram is still highly focused on stories and native features so be sure to not overlook them when posting your next story.
