New Product Launch Alerts on Instagram
Instagram announced that they will be partnering with over 20 brands in the US to start sending out Reminder notifications for merch drops in Stories. Although similar to the countdown native sticker, this new sticker will allow brands and creators to get more specific within their in-app shopping feature. Users will receive an alert 15 minutes before a product drop, giving them the opportunity to purchase a product before it sells out.
Why is this exciting? For the beauty and fashion audiences on Instagram, this is the perfect opportunity to tease limited-edition merch drops and gain momentum with new product announcements. Speaking of brands, some are already testing out the new feature including Adidas, H&M, Levi’s, Michael Kors, Warby Parker, Highsnobiety, Huda Beauty, MAC Cosmetics among others. Looking to drive direct sales, this is also sure to gain followership and reach new audiences.
