Last year Instagram shopping opened up to markets in the U.S. and starting today, merchants in the U.K., Canada, Brazil, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain will be able to do the same.
The feature enables brands to tag products within their organic posts, and tapping on those tagged products brings Instagram users to more information including product details, pricing and links to brands’ websites where they can complete their purchases.
This is a huge win for brands and an exciting time for pushing the boundaries with content creation and innovation.
