Periscope x Fashion: How one designer is upping the ante

Periscope has redefined the way we live stream, especially in the fashion realm. Now anybody can be front row at a runway show literally putting the experience in the palm of your hand. Fashion brands are known innovators when it comes to using social media technology in new and creative ways. Jean Paul Gaultier, the legendary designer out of Paris, is no exception. As an extension of his exhibit at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysees, the designer has orchestrated a scavenger hunt through the streets of Paris where users will be asked to find two models, dressed as a Punk and a Bride, that have fled the exhibit. The idea is to give a totally interactive/social media experience, which will lead to an elongated user interaction. The fashion house announced the contest via social media where they instructed users to track down the sneaky couple in hopes of getting free tickets to the exhibit. JPG’s take on this technology is a perfect way to create a more personal user experience and we can’t wait to play with all the different ways it can be used.
