Tagly // Controlling Brand Content

With Instagram’s intention to use an algorithm that curates feeds on the users behalf, Mark Alhermizi, founder of the new app Tagly, created a new social platform dedicated to user control.

The app allows users to pick the categories of content that matter most to them from fashion, news, trends, and events. Essentially, Tagly aims to let users gain back control of their social experience.

Tagly marks a change in the social media paradigm as brand content no longer disturbs user-created posts, rather it finds a home in a dedicated feed. Instagram’s announcement is another step towards the loss of organic reach, so Tagly was created to give users the power to personalize their feed.
