Thanks to the rise of smartphones, some of the most important photographers are consumers as shoppers look for an authentic experience when online browsing. Organic content on social media screams a level of authenticity that polished billboards don’t deliver. User generated content reflects consumer fantasies and aspirations, and should be closely studied by the minds of marketers.
